Take a break from the countless outdoor activities in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula to check out the 41st Les Cheneaux Islands Antique Boat Show and Festival of Arts on August 11. This annual festival is one of the largest antique boat shows in the nation and takes place in Hessel, Michigan. Boaters will have the opportunity to see restored boats dating back to the early 1900s in the water. This year, the show is focusing on Dodge boats. The Festival of the Arts, which runs in conjunction with the Antique Boat Show, features work from Midwestern artists, including photos, paintings, ceramics, jewelry, stained glass and more. This year’s festival runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission for adults is $8. Children under 12 may enter for free.
