By June 21, 2018No Comments

After a successful 2017 Summer of Fun(d), this year’s event to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will feature events around Chicago, hosted by the city’s boating community.

The Leukemia Cup Poker Run on July 21 takes captains and their crew out on the water and to different harbors, including Montrose, Belmont, Monroe and Burnham, to collect playing cards. Whoever has the best hand at the end of the day wins $300.

Later that night from 6-10 p.m. it’s Cooler By the Lake on the lawn of the Corinthian Yacht Club. Hors-d’oeuvres, drinks, live music and a silent auction will entertain you as you enjoy the sunset.

On August 24 at 6 p.m., the Club Ship Abegweit will host the Red Sky Night, featuring food drinks, silent and live auctions, and the North Coast Orchestra for a beautiful night on the water.

Then summer concludes with the Leukemia Cup Regatta at the Columbia Yacht Club. Captains get a signature yellow Regatta hat, a VIP captain’s bag and a personal fundraising page. Fundraising winners will receive flags announcing their achievement.
