Liberty Aviation Museum Hosts Final Reunion

By August 19, 2014No Comments

On September 27, the Liberty Aviation Museum in Port Clinton, Ohio will honor the remaining crewmembers that flew the Grumman TBM Avenger Torpedo Bombers. They will reunite and tell stories of their courageous experiences 70 years ago.

The TBM Avenger was a workhorse torpedo bomber developed for World War II for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps. The first Avengers saw action during the Battle of Midway and contributed to warding off German U-Boats while providing air cover for the convoys.

The TBM Avenger Gathering and Reunion will be a unique opportunity to meet and say thank you to those surviving heroes who fought for our freedom.
