Malibu Boats has crafted two new Wakesetter models for 2017 that feature newly designed hulls to create larger, more exciting wakes for wakeboarders and wakesurfers.
For the 22 MXZ and the 24 MXZ Wakesetter, Malibu increased the maximum ballast, which in conjunction with Malibu’s Integrated Surf Platform technology maximizes wakes. However, these boats have not lost nuance: The Malibu Command Center still allows the driver to customize the wake shape, size and speed for all skill levels.
The 22 MXZ can fit 15 passengers and the 24 MXZ can fit 18. The bow of each model can seat four passengers, but the 24 MXZ features foldout wake-view seating (a possible upgrade on the 22). Optional amenities on both MXZ models include new Wet Sound speakers, a backup camera, new ISP steering wheel controls, a secondary heater, and Deckadence carpeting or soft-grip flooring.
