The British Virgin Islands, like many countries in the area, still face extensive recovery and rebuilding after Hurricane Irma. MarineMax has announced that it will donate a portion of new charter booking fees to the rebuilding of the islands.
“We are all united by water, and our dedicated support of our team, the islands, and our guests are an extension of the MarineMax family and boating passion,” says Dave Bigge, regional president of MarineMax.
The company, which operates MarineMax Vacations in the Caribbean, will donate 10 percent of all new reservations for travel to British Virgin Islands recovery efforts beginning in December and running through March 1, 2018. The company says donated funds will go towards rebuilding the territory and assisting island residents and business owners with restoring their homes and livelihoods.
