Maritimo announced it will use Dockmate as a choice for remote control docking solutions across all its vessels. The system is easy to install, allowing captains and owners to operate engines, bow and stern thrusters, anchor wenches and horns from anywhere on board using a small, handheld device, so they can step away from the helm while confidently controlling the boat’s movements.
The powerful two-way transmitter is waterproof and floats, guaranteeing reliable operation while offering SoftDocking technology, ThrusterHold feature and the Dockmate Positioning System that received an NMMA Innovation Award at the Miami International Boat Show.
“We have been using a different wireless remote control and then a client introduced us to Dockmate,” says Tom Jagucki, Maritimo corporate captain. “I was very impressed with the customization capabilities of the DockControl software. We did a sea trial and adjusted the amount of throttle to the owner’s exact specifications. Moving forward, we will offer Dockmate as an aftermarket wireless remote control option.”
Dockmate offers two different remotes for Maritimo customers: the TWIN, for more conventional users, and the TWIST for users wanting a joystick feel.
“We are thrilled that Maritimo owners are now installing Dockmate as a remote control docking system on their boat,” adds Marc Curreri, CEO, Dockmate US. “We pride ourselves in working closely with engine control manufacturers and boat builders to provide solutions that match their needs. A Dockmate system elevates the ownership experience, and we are confident that Maritimo owners will be more than satisfied with its ease of use.”
