MasterCraft Boat Holdings, Inc., the parent of MasterCraft and NauticStar, announced its plans to finish the takeover of Crest marine by the fourth quarter. Crest Marine, a Michigan pontoon boatbuilder, was acquired for $80 million.
“This is a uniquely positioned brand, giving us additional diversity and presence in two of the fastest-growing areas of the boating industry,” says Terry McNew, MasterCraft CEO.
Crest will amount for 15 percent of MCBC sales and had $65 million in net sales in 2017. From 2011 through 2017 the company has seen a combined growth rate of 23 percent.
