Mercury Marine Introduces Flo-Torq and Active Trim Systems

By October 26, 2015No Comments

From Fond-du-Lac, Wisconsin-based Mercury Marine comes two new products: The Flo-Torq propeller hub system and the Active Trim system.

The Flo-Torq is designed to improve shift noise and vibration on high-horsepower outboards that use a heavy-duty 1.25-inch propeller shaft. This new hub system is a first of its kind to employ Mercury’s new Soft Shift Rubber (SSR) technology, which delivers a 25 percent improvement in shift noise and vibration.

Mercury Marine also introduced its new Active Trim system, which delivers instant, effortless trimming of boat engines. Designed to suit entry-level and expert boaters alike, Active Trim simplifies boat operation, while improving engine performance and decreasing fuel costs. Tests completed on a broad range of boats indicate fuel savings of 14 to 54 percent by running in the auto mode provided by Active Trim, versus fully trimmed down in manual mode.

Active Trim is compatible with any new Mercury Outboard or MerCruiser engine with SmartCraft.
