Miami Boat Show Innovation Award Winners Announced

By February 18, 2016No Comments

After analyzing 77 products across 31 categories, a panel of judges (including Lakeland’s very own Alan Wendt, Capt. Frank Lanier and Gary Reich) announced the winners of the 2016 Miami Boat Show Innovation Awards earlier this month. Ultimately, there were 17 winners in 16 categories, as well as three honorable mentions.

Boating Writers International (BWI) members who have expertise in marine products and equipment judge the annual contest. The goal of the contest is to recognize exceptional new consumer marine products.

This year’s winners include: Grundens USA’s Breakwater Pants for the Personal Gear, Soft Goods category; the Premier Marine Ricochet Ladder for Deck Equipment; the BRP U.S. Intelligent Shift and Throttle for Jet Boats; the Weems & Plath SOS Distress Light for Consumer Safety Equipment; and the Premier Marine Dodici (pictured above)
