Need a unique family summer activity? Learn to build a boat! The Michigan Maritime Museum is hosting a Family Boat Building Class August 2–4 in South Haven, in which participants will work on building their very own 11-foot Davis Dinghy!
The class runs the three days from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Five people, ages 12 and up, can participate. The $850 fee includes the material, tools and two oars needed to build.
First modeled by Dave Davis, from South Haven, the boat is a small rowboat that is easily to captain and will give your family countless hours of enjoyment out on the water.
