The 2018 Wake Park of the Year award went to Action Wake Park of Hudsonville, Michigan. The award was presented at the Water Sports Industry Association (WSIA) Summit this spring.
Action Wake Park is the only cable wakeboard facility in Michigan and has partnered with community organizations and schools to increase interest and participation in watersports in the area. Wake parks from around the world were nominated for the award but Action Wake Park was singled out for having the strongest community outreach program that got more people interested in spending time on the water.
Action Wake Park will open for the season on May 12 from noon to 8 p.m. Community members can ride for free on Saturday, June 9 during Liquid Force Field Day.
