Minor Changes Name to Sargo

By August 27, 2014No Comments

Finland boatbuilding company Sarins Batar Oy Ab built boats under the Minor name since the 1960s, but the company recently announced it will continue operations under a new brand name, Sargo.

Linking the family name “Sarins” with the dynamic verb “go,” and also paying respects to the Sargo fish, the company says it derives multiple meanings from the new name.

“The new name transforms decades of accumulated know-how to our well-grounded visions of the future of environmentally responsible pleasure boating,” says company founder Edy Sarin.

To date, the company has built nearly 2,000 boats for buyers in 15 countries from 25 to 36 feet.
