MJM Yachts will launch its new boating course for women at the MJM Experience customer appreciation event in New Bern, North Carolina, September 19-20, 2025. “She’s the Captain” is a complimentary course that will soon be offered nationally by participating MJM Yachts dealers. It is designed to boost women’s skills and confidence at the helm, and blends classroom time with hands-on training on the water, with instruction in boat systems and controls, docking and line handling, navigation basics, practical boat handling and confidence on the water.
“While many of MJM’s female customers drive their yachts themselves or share the helm with a male partner, others have told us they feel like a passenger on their own boat. She’s the Captain is designed to empower women to take charge of their yacht and to enhance their feelings of ownership and independence on the water,” says Natascia Hatch, MJM Yachts president and CEO.
