After a recent addition of over 55,000 square feet of manufacturing space, Monterey and Blackfin are expanding once again, with plans to add another 50,000 square feet to the facility in Williston, Florida. The additional state-of-the-art manufacturing space will help the company meet ever-growing demand through expanded production, and will also add an additional 150 jobs to the market, bringing Monterey and Blackfin’s total staff to 675.

“We feel the increase in manufacturing space and skilled staff will allow us to increase the production capacity we need in order to meet consumer demand for the next two years, while also providing us with the ability to continue to develop, design and introduce new models,” says Charles Marshall, co-chairman of Monterey and Blackfin Boats. “This will also provide us with the ability to continue to satisfy our dealer/partners needs while continuing to grow and expand our market share.”

Monterey and Blackfin Boats have grown to represent one of the largest boatbuilders in the country, while still remaining family owned and operated, with founders Charles and Jeff Marshall remaining at the helm of the company.

“Monterey and Blackfin Boats have seen substantial growth in the last two years and will see continued growth in the future with new sterndrive and outboard models. In addition to our continued growth in North America, we expect accelerated growth in our international markets, especially in the countries of the EU,” says Robert Pita, president of Monterey and Blackfin Boats. “Monterey and Blackfin Boats have continued to grow and expand our worldwide dealer network as well, which also allows us to better meet our customer’s needs.”
