Beneteau’s new Gran Turismo 45 represents a new generation of the Express Cruiser, with functionality, space and style that impresses just as much as how the boat handles on the water. The 48-foot yacht incorporates the best features of its predecessor, the GT46, with exciting new features and functionality. “The development of the Gran Turismo 45 was driven by a desire to offer the same sailing qualities as the GT 46 while rethinking the boat’s highly successful dynamic design to provide even greater comfort and practicality,” explains the Beneteau product manager in charge of the project. “The Gran Turismo 45 boasts a range of sophisticated technical solutions designed to make life easier for passengers, and that can be adapted in a flash to fit their needs and expectations at any time and in any weather.”
Two sunpads, a large hydraulically controlled swim platform and a sunroof in the electric hardtop make it easy to soak in the sunshine, while larger side windows in the hardtop and an optional patio door let in the light while protecting from the elements.
Further amenities include a concealed tender garage with an electric roof that can be used as storage, a discrete electric grill for outdoor dining, a large cockpit with comfortable U-shaped seating and wetbar for relaxing onboard, and a large lower deck filled with light and warm accents, like grey walnut and white lacquered joinery.
Below deck, two large cabins provide plenty of overnight room, with the option to replace the main salon seating with a third cabin. A large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and plenty of storage complete the comfortable salon.
The latest in high-tech equipment keeps the Gran Turismo 45 at the top of its game, with an optional electronic pack for buyers that includes Ship Control technology.
