New Boats, Products and More Unveiled

Thousands of new boats, gear and electronics were displayed at the 2017 Miami International Boat Show. Below are a few of the highlights.

Boston Whaler’s 380 Outrage made its world premiere. The 380 Outrage features a bow with expansive seating and storage. The cockpit includes a new aft-facing couch with an optional removable table and an optional summer kitchen.

FLIR and Raymarine unveiled their most advanced marine thermal cameras and new line of 3D sonar-equipped Raymarine multifunction displays for boaters. The FLIR M100 and M200 thermal cameras provide enhanced awareness at night, while the all-glass Raymarine Axiom MFDs include built-in RealVision 3D sonar.

Groupe Beneteau’s many powerboat brands had a busy boat show. Jeanneau showcased the Jeanneau 51 and Leader 33. Prestige had the new 460 on display. Four Winns’ new HD series — the 220, 240 and 270 — along with Scarab’s new 195 Open and Fish models were exhibited. Other new Groupe Beneteau boats on display were: Monte Carlo MC4, 5 and 6; Wellcraft Fisherman 302 and 262; Glastron GS25S; and Lagoon 52.

Mercury Marine introduced many new innovations including: Easily downloadable Skyhook Advanced features; next-gen VesselView 703; Mercury Diesel 6.7L midrange engine; and Joystick Piloting for Inboards — a revolutionary system that works on single and dual engine boats.

Robalo introduced the biggest Robalo ever: The R317 dual console. Relax on the sprawling, patent-pending Vista-View Lounge Seat that pivots down into a large sunpad or rotates forward and aft, or take in the view from the L-shaped seating in the bow.

Scout Boats debuted its 380 LXF. The boat features a Mercury quad 350-hp rig and award-winning articulating rocket launchers. The 380 LXF also showcases a unique new raised aft-facing lounge seat/electronically-actuated convertible leaning post option that transforms the seat into a summer kitchen.

Sea Ray had its newest models on display, including the 400 SLX and SLX-W 230. The Sundancer 320 also made its world premiere. The Sundancer 320 is a combination between a bowrider and a cruiser, offering an expanded bow for more seating. The 400 SLX is the ultimate entertaining boat, with an innovative starboard-side convertible swim terrace, convertible seating and expansive bow seating with armrest.

S2 Yachts debuted the brand-new Pursuit S 328 and Tiara F53 Flybridge models. The Pursuit S 328 is built for fishing and for entertainment, and offers a new folding seat design and multiple social zones. The Tiara F53 Flybridge builds upon the Tiara 53 Coupe model, and offers IPS 950 Volvos, 28.5 mph cruise speeds and an expansive flybridge with a U-shaped dinette that can accommodate the entire party.
