A new cleaner and more accessible launch will be available for kayakers near downtown Muskegon, Michigan, at Heritage Landing park. The dock will allow paddlers the opportunity to enter and exit Muskegon Lake and Lake Michigan easier.
Funding was approved by the Muskegon County Board of Commissioners, in addition to a Michigan Department of Natural Resources grant. Engineering proposals from the public are being accepted. With the new launch, the existing Heritage Landing launch will move to Rotary Park.
