New Montague Bike Designed With Boaters in Mind

By May 10, 2016No Comments

Montague Bikes has developed an all-new folding bike model, designed specifically to withstand harsh marine environments and to be tucked away in tight boat-storage nooks. The Allston model is one of 11 new Montague road and mountain bike models for 2016.

The Allston’s frame, rims and components are made of aluminum combined with stainless steel spokes. The Allston is also prepared to handle wet, salty environments thanks to its rust-proof carbon belt drive (instead of a standard metal chain) and sealed Shimano 11-speed internal gear hub. This also makes the Allston grease-free and easy to maintain. With 38mm tires, the Allston is also prepared for travel on gravel and unpaved marina roads.

Like other Montague bike models, the Allston can be folded and unfolded in less than 20 seconds. Folded, the bike is 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, weighing only 30 pounds. It also comes with the Montague bikes RackStand, which doubles as a cargo rack, mudguard, and kickstand.

Montague’s Allston is available for $1,895.00.
