By June 5, 2017No Comments

Boaters in the market for a new VHF radio are in luck, as Lowrance, Simrad and B&G have announced three new class D digital selective calling (DSC) marine VHF radios. These include the Lowrance Link-6, the Simrad RS20 and the B&G V20.

The Lowrance Link-6 is ideal for small RIBs to larger sportfishing boats. It comes with an optimized black-on-white display, nighttime display visibility and rotary dial. A Channel 16 key is included on the radio’s front panel and four-button fist mic for instant emergency channel access. There is also an integrated Distress button for automatic DSC distress calling. The radio is available in black or white.

The Simrad RS20 VHF radio is ideal for small RIBs up to larger cruisers. It features many of same display features as the Link-6, as well as compatibility with NMEA 2000. The RS20 is designed to match the low-profile styling of modern Simrad glass bridge displays and accessories.

The B&G V20 also has an optimized black-on-white display, nighttime visibility, rotary dial and NMEA 2000 compatibility. This radio is ideal for small RIBs up to larger offshore yachts.

Lowrance Link-6 starts at $189. Simrad RS20 starts at $279. B&G V20 starts at $279.
