TACO Marine’s new ShadeFin product promises to provide “Shadow in Seconds,” easily attaching to to rod holders, tops and gunnels to provide convenient, portable and instant shade for boaters.
ShadeFin can be used on almost any boat, and pairs with either a fixed or adjustable rod holder mount to provide shade to multiple areas of the boat, including the fore, aft and sides of tops. Users just remove the sleeve, mount on the desired location and activate the underside release tab.
Structured ribs lock the ShadeFin into place, while weather-resistant fabric provides a UPF 50+ sun protection rating to boaters underneath.

The ShadeFin was entered in this year’s competition for an IBEX 2020 Innovation Award, and was featured in the TACO Marine booth at the virtual IBEX September 29 – October 2.
