Despite uncertainty caused by COVID-19, the Newport Exhibition Group has announced that the 50th Newport International Boat Show will be held from September 17-20, 2020,
in Newport, Rhode Island. The 13-acre Newport Yachting Center will host the event.
“We realize this global pandemic is causing uncertainty for businesses and individuals, but we are working under the premise that the danger of the virus will have passed,” says Nancy Piffard, show director of the Newport Exhibition Group. “We will continue to follow the guidelines of the CDC and government officials on a day-by-day basis. Should the timing of our event potentially compromise the health and safety of our exhibitors, sponsors, vendors and the boating community, we will make an announcement accordingly.”
The event will feature seminars and in-water demonstrations, as well as the Newport For New Products (NFNP) program, which gives out awards for the best powerboat, best sailboat, best new navigation product and best new boat operation, maintenance and safety product.
