On Christmas Eve 2016, the Pat O’Brien & Associates Real Estate office in the Cherry Republic building burned down, leaving the staff with nowhere to go. The company approached a nearby powerhouse real estate firm known for its community activism with a proposal to join forces. By March 2017, the merger was complete and Pat O’Brien & Associates Charlevoix office was in business again. The new company is located at 701 Bridge Street, and includes the original crew plus a few new members.
