Play Boat Poker, Raise Money for Cancer

By July 31, 2017No Comments

It’s generally not recommended to take a gamble while boating, but August 12 might be an exception. The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will be hosting its annual Leukemia Cup Poker Run and after party with the Chicago Corinthian Yacht Club. The Poker Run is one of many summer events for the Leukemia Cup Regatta.

Participating powerboat owners will cruise from harbor to harbor, collecting playing cards at each to build the best hand. Boaters will collect their last card at Montrose Harbor, where they can then join the “Cooler By the Lake” after party. All boaters are encouraged to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the event.

Boaters interested in captaining a boat for this day-long poker game need to register online. Registration for the Poker Run is $150 and includes entry, a hat, a t-shirt, one poker hand, one ticket to the after party and ten raffle tickets. Crewmembers will need to register for $50, which includes one poker hand.
