Ranger Tugs Unveils R-27

By June 5, 2017No Comments

The newly released Ranger Tugs 2018 R-27 is the company’s latest model. The R-27 is styled like the larger R-29S, but in a more compact layout.

“We’re excited to have another new tug in our lineup,” said Jeff Messmer, VP Ranger Tugs. “The versatility of outboard power, her size, speed, and accommodations, along with our new styling should make this mid-size tug very popular.”

The R-27’s hull features reverse chines for stability and Ranger Tugs’ patented Laminar Flow Interrupters. The R-27 is powered by Yamaha F300 outboards, and comes standard with a bowthruster. In the cockpit, the captain can cruise with the aid of Garmin electronics. A curved front window and overhead glass atrium ensures that everyone has a good view.

To port, boaters will find a fully-equipped galley, which includes a two-burner propane stove with oven, fridge/freezer, sink and storage. Below deck is a private double stateroom, which can also be transformed into a table and seating area.

The R-27 first debuted at TrawlerFest in Bremerton, Washington.
