The new custom Protector 410 Targa from Rayglass is gaining some awesome power, thanks to its use of twin Mercury V12 600-hp Verados, the most powerful engines to be fitted on a RIB yet. The combined engine strength offers a total of 1,200-hp, delivering exceptional capability, safety and impressive handling to this all-water vessel.

The modified transom has been built to handle the increased weight and torque, while other innovations like a two-speed transmission, double-rotating props and an independently turning gearcase further improves ride quality and handling.

“We wanted to build a boat that could outperform everything on the water — this is the result. A combination of smart engine technology and the advanced hull gives the vessel incredibly responsive handling,” says Rayglass CEO Dave Larsen. “Meanwhile the 1,200 hp of the twin engines means it has the acceleration and speed of a supercar on the water. These are the world’s most powerful and advanced engines on the world’s most capable RIB vessel. Cruising in this is the most fun you can have on the water.”

Onboard, a 2-3 pax undercover perch seat offers a comfortable ride, while three screens in the cockpit include an E700 multifunction display and Smartshunt battery monitor.
