Riviera’s new-era 78 Motor Yacht recently wowed onlookers at a world-wide premiere, boasting incredible elegance, beautiful design and attention to detail. Riviera’s 42 years of experience building exceptional boats is evident in every detail of the new 78, which combines the best of a family cruising, entertaining and deep water passage-making yacht, all in one ultra sophisticated design.
“What I love is the way we are mixing our different cultures, the Australian one and the European one, and we have found a good balance that will make everyone happy,” explains superyacht Designer Luca Vallebona, who designed the 78 in collaboration with the award-winning Riviera team. “Going forward from the aft salon deck to the interior of the 78, I think is an incredible space. We worked hard as a team to find the right balance in the interior design. I think we achieved a very good outcome. We have introduced new concepts and they look superb.”
Luxurious accommodations comfortably fit up to 10 adults, with four staterooms, three bathrooms and crew quarters. The three-step teak-laid swim platform can be lowered into the water for easy access, and there is the option for an open or enclosed bridge deck.
The semi-enclosed salon deck offers plenty of plush lounge space, a fold-out dining table and a comprehensive barbecue, while the elegant interior salon provides an impressive galley and more comfortable lounges. Throughout the interior the design features high-gloss teak and flush surfaces, with a casual elegance that is warm and inviting, yet elevated.
The foredeck offers a number of layouts, and stepping into the bridge deck you are greeted by a super-yacht like dash with four large navigation screens from which to operate the vessel. Powered by twin MAN 2000 turbo diesel engines, the 78 is as powerful as she is breathtaking.
