Sail Canada has teamed up with LI/NE, a female-owned Canadian company that gives retired sails a stylish second life by turning them into handcrafted bags.

As part of its strategy on sustainability, Sail Canada is inviting Canadian sailors who will take part in the Sail Canada Youth Fest on August 1-5 and/or the Youth Championships and Senior 49er/49erFX Championships on August 21-24, to make use of the old sails they have in their garage by bringing them to the events. Instead of heading to the landfill, these sails are upcycled into unique, small-batch bags — each one with its own story and character.

LI/NE’s products are not only sustainably made but also support the sailing community. A portion of every purchase goes directly toward Sail Canada programs. As a bonus, members can unlock exclusive discounts through the Sail Canada Sailor Portal.
