Sailfish 290 CC

There is a difference.

by Ken Kreisler

Sailfish is known for designing boats — whether center or dual console, walk-arounds or bay boats — that are made for both family outings as well as deep-water action.

The 290 CC runs on its Variable Degree Stepped (VDS) hull, which translates to having three distinct hull bottoms. The first, with its deep deadrise, cuts through the water, while the next two acts to provide lift and stability. With an ample bow flare to damp down spray, the combination results in a safe and comfortable ride when conditions may unexpectedly change. And with all composite construction with zero wood used anywhere, as well as the hull and deck being reinforced with Kevlar and carbon fiber, there is built-in durability and strength for peace of mind while underway.

High cockpit depth, 16 rod holders, a 30-gallon transom livewell and a 35-gallon leaning post livewell start things off. There’s locking rod storage, as well as a pair of 260-quart in-sole fish boxes with overboard drains and a newly designed console dash that allows for the latest in large-screen electronics.
After one notices all the fishing amenities, a closer look reveals another side of the Sailfish 290 CC — one that has great appeal for the family to enjoy. Comfortable bow seating, easy access to the aft swim ladder, a walk-through transom door, a freshwater shower, plenty of storage areas for time out on the water and cup holders are all standard. To make your boat something really special, a host of options include a removable table and bow shade, windlass with roller, Fusion stereo system, retractable ski tow bar, electric head and many others.
“With our family friendly features, your Sailfish transforms into the perfect platform for an exciting family day on the water,” according to Sailfish.
Being a spirited performer is also a big part of the Sailfish 290 CC. Power options include a pair of Yamaha F250XCA or 300XCA and twin Mercury 250XL/300XL Verado engines.
Out for a day or offshore, the Sailfish 290 CC will fulfill all your expectations and have you looking forward to each and every time you let your lines go.
