A versatile three-up PWC for value-conscious families.

by Craig Ritchie

Sea-Doo knows a lot about value, and the company’s all-new GTI SE delivers smiles in abundance at a great price.

This engaging three-up PWC checks all the boxes: It’s fun to ride, comfortable enough for all-day enjoyment, and priced to be affordable for most families.

The GTI SE comes packed with a boatload of standard features, starting with Sea-Doo’s Intelligent Throttle Control. Select between Touring, Sport and Eco modes to tailor the ride to your taste and comfort level. Touring mode offers a comfortable ride, while the Sport setting boosts acceleration for lightning-quick hole shots. Choose the Eco mode and still enjoy all the fun while getting the best possible fuel economy.

Speaking of value, the GTI SE also comes with Sea-Doo’s Intelligent Braking and Reverse function as standard equipment. Squeezing the left handlebar lever puts the GTI SE in reverse, making it much easier to back off a beach or move from the dock. Pulling the lever while running at speed applies braking power in a steady and controlled curve, allowing the driver to stop quickly without being thrown forward. Variable Trim — also standard — allows riders to adjust the boat’s attitude for a more comfortable ride in different water conditions.

Since families like to have fun on the water, the GTI SE offers a huge 30.8-gallon storage capacity, spread between two compartments: A larger one located up in the bow and a smaller second compartment for wallets, cell phones and other valuables, positioned just below the handlebars.

“The GTI 90-hp is ideal for the person or family that simply wants to get out on the water, but with more comfort and storage than Sea-Doo’s smallest model, the SPARK, offers,” says Sea-Doo Spokesman Tim McKercher. “Its lightweight PolyTec hull and compact Rotax 900 ACE engine give it a sporty ride that’s also stable and dry.”

The three-rider touring seat includes rear grab handles for additional security. You’ll also find a retractable boarding ladder on the GTI SE, making it easier to climb on after a swim.

With its 90-hp 900 HO Rotax ACE engine and lightweight PolyTec hull, the GTI SE easily hits top speeds in the low 40 mph range, delivering plenty of smiles per mile.
