There’s never an excuse to dismiss safe boating practices. Thanks to a program by the Sea Tow Foundation and supported by ACR Electronics, it’s easier to be prepared for an emergency. The Sea Tow Foundation has launched an emergency beacon rental program that allows boaters across the U.S. to rent Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs) and Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs) for $45 to $65 a week.
Proceeds will go to Sea Tow safety programs. ACR Electronics donated eight beacons in celebration of its 60th anniversary. Boaters interested in renting a PLB or EPIRB can visit the Sea Tow Foundation website at sea-tow-foundation.myshopify.com.
