Simrad Unveils Three New Electronics

By December 8, 2015No Comments

Simrad has released three new products, just in time for the holiday season (and last-minute shoppers).

The Simrad GO7 XSE is a new standalone chartplotter and fishfinder, crafted for sport boats and coastal fishermen. The unit utilizes TotalScan and ForwardScan Sonar, as well TripIntel, which can overlay info such as fuel range on charts and tide levels. The GO7 XSE has a sophisticated and easy-to-use touch screen, which works similarly to smart-phone displays.

The Simrad GO5 XSE, another chartplotter and fishfinder, is Simrad’s first 5-inch standalone unit. Like the GO7, this compact unit features TotalScan, ForwardScan Sonar and TripIntel.

Simrad’s final product, the TotalScan, is an “all-in-one fish and structure finding transducer.” The TotalScan combines CHIRP sonar capabilities with StructureScan HD and DownScan Imaging technology. This three-in-one sonar product gives anglers greater fish-target separation and less interference.
