You can still get out and enjoy the Milwaukee River, thanks to newly launched hot tub boat rental Skyline Boat Company, based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The company, founded by Ryan Strycker and Laura Kirklewski, offers three hot tub boat rentals that include a hot tub heated to 104 degrees, a back deck for lounging, tiller for steering yourself along the river, and heated changing room in one of three boathouses, reports the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The couple was inspired by hot tub boat rentals they saw first in Seattle and then Chicago, and worked with manufacturer Spacruzzi to buy the first three boats for Milwaukee. Rentals are currently available until mid-December, with a break during the winter before reopening in mid March next year.
Rental sessions offer two hours of use, with space for up to five adults, and cost $200 on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and $250 Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. No food is allowed on board, but passengers can bring drinks in non-glass containers.
Each tub has an automatic filtration system that runs constantly to ensure cleanliness, and water is changed at the end of each day. Since its launch on Halloween, the company has been booked up most weekends and weekend evenings, with customers celebrating everything from birthdays and bachelorette to engagements or friends’ outings.
