The National Park Service (NPS) has created an app for visitors of the Sleeping Bear Dunes. You can now download the app from the App Store onto your mobile phone, and it has everything you need to know about the 71,000-acre national lakeshore, according to MLive.
The free app is easy to use and has sections for What to See, Places to Go, Self-Guided Tours, Beaches, Maps and more. According to MLive, users can download information to make it easier to access it while out in the park, which is celebrating its 50th year.
“Our intent was to get people into lesser-known parts of the park and to provide them with some interesting content when they get to those places,” Merrith Bauman, the park’s chief of interpretation, told MLive. “We hope it gets people seeing new things in their park.”
