Marine stabilization technology innovator Smartgyro introduced battery-powered integration for its SG20 gyroscopic stabilizer, allowing the SG20 to operate smoothly on battery power while maintaining stabilization performance and system reliability, all while remaining quiet — ideal for enjoying a dinner at anchor, peaceful night on the water or relaxing in comfort and quiet.
“Today’s owners expect comfort that is immediate, seamless, and quiet. With this integration, we’ve responded to a real need in the 40–55 ft segment, delivering powerful stabilization without the hum of a generator,” explains Carlo Gazerro, sales manager at Smartgyro. “That means greater freedom, more enjoyable moments on board, and an added advantage for our dealer network: A solution that’s easier to recommend, integrate, and tailor to owner expectations.”
The new integration delivers all of the benefits of Smartgyro stabilization without continuously running a generator. A smart interface, up to five hour generator-free operation time and tested and approved configurations add to the system’s appeal.
“We work closely with owners and shipyards to push the boundaries of onboard performance, comfort, and efficiency. This project is the result of that dialogue, and it’s already showing remarkable results in the field,” adds Fabrizio Stifani, R&D manager at Smartgyro.
“We’re also exploring future enhancements, such as a smart adaptive speed function designed to intelligently balance performance and energy efficiency, further evolving our approach to intelligent, quiet, and sustainable stabilization.”
Approved configurations include Mastervolt: MLI Ultra 12/6000 (6 kWh) + CombiMaster 12/3000-100 (230V) and Victron: Coming soon – LiFePO4 Battery 25.6V/300Ah NG + MultiPlus 24/5000/120-100 (230V Sinewave).
