The Somewear Global Hotspot provides two-way communication in even the most remote regions. Combined with the Somewear app, the hotspot uses LEO satellite networks to provide 100 percent global coverage. And as an added bonus, the hotspot is compact and easily portable.
Both iOS and Android devices can connect with the hotspot via Bluetooth through the Somewear App. This allows for two-way texting (SMS, email). The hotspot can also provide boaters with weather reports, True GPS-enabled navigation, location sharing and user tracking, and SOS transmission capabilities.
The Somewear Global Hotspot weighs only 3 ounces, but it comes in a shock-resistant composite plastic. In case of rough waters, the hotspot is waterproof up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.
Boaters can order the Somewear Global Hotspot on pre-sale through May 2. The first hotspots will be shipped to customers in July 2018.
