Spring Brook Marine Group announced the grand opening of its new location at Adelaide Pointe in Muskegon, Michigan, offering the group a central hub to help serve the West Michigan boating community. The expansive 7,000-square-foot showroom will showcase a selection of industry-leading boats, while offering a place to host events, including the grand opening this spring.
The new location will be led by Adam Lamb, an experienced yacht broker and industry veteran as sales operations director, and Lee Oppenhuizen, a 200-ton master captain, as a sales consultant. Lamb brings over two decades of expertise in boat sales and a deep connection to the Great Lakes boating lifestyle.
“My career in the boating industry started right here in West Michigan, and I’m thrilled to return to my roots,” says Lamb, who brings a passion for boating and familiarity with West Michigan’s boating culture and waterways to the position.
Lamb is a 20-plus-year industry veteran whose career in the boating industry began in 1998 when he worked as a dock hand at the Ludington Municipal Marina. By June 2000, Lamb transitioned into boat sales, specializing in both new and brokerage boats. Lamb worked as one of the lead salesmen for SkipperBud’s, then later started his own business, Ludington Yacht Sales, which he has owned and operated for years. Over the past two decades, he has dedicated himself to helping clients navigate the exciting process of boat ownership.
His passion for boating — particularly on the Great Lakes, with a strong connection to Lake Michigan — has been the driving force behind his commitment to delivering a positive, personal and memorable experience for every client.
“Spring Brook’s dedication to providing outstanding customer experiences and premium brands makes this opportunity even more exciting. Muskegon’s strategic location and growing reputation as a boating destination create the perfect setting for us to serve boaters of all levels,” Lamb adds.
Lee Oppenhuizen, a Holland, Michigan native, built his passion and expertise in boating through summers at local marinas and yacht clubs. Oppenhuizen is now a seasoned 200-ton master captain with years of experience commanding yachts over 100 feet. He brings significant knowledge of yachts that translates into his skill set as a yacht broker.
“The true reward for me lies in problem-solving and tailoring deals to meet my client’s needs and desires,” Oppenhuizen says. “At Spring Brook Marine Group, we don’t just sell yachts; we craft unforgettable experiences, and it all begins with our sales team.”
Spring Brook’s new location is in collaboration with Adelaide Pointe, which is set to revolutionize the boating industry in the region. With in/out service, fuel, transient slips for all boat sizes, an onsite brewery/restaurant, boaters facilities, a ship store, event spaces, condos, a future hotel, and now Spring Brook Marine group’s newest location, Adelaide Pointe offers something for everyone.
Spring Brook’s expansive 7,000-square-foot showroom is designed to attract clients, host events and showcase the finest luxury yachts on the market. The grand opening in spring will feature an opening event, including boats on display, refreshments, light bites and live music. It’s an opportunity for the community to explore the new facility and meet the team behind Spring Brook Marine Group’s latest milestone.
