By heading to the Cleveland Boat Show & Fishing Expo on its last day, January 20, you can help raise money for the Ohio Sea Grant and Stone Laboratory as $1 from each admission ticket sold on that day goes to its scholarships.
The Cleveland event runs January 16-20, and the Ohio Sea Grant booth will feature fun and educational displays, talks and activities where attendees can learn about algal blooms and invasive species of the Great Lakes, in addition to other environmental health risks and climate change. Kids can also craft a Lake Erie walleye lure and boaters can take the Ohio Clean Boater Pledge!
“We encourage everyone to visit our booth so you can learn more about all Lake Erie has to offer and how you can keep help protect it for future generations,” says Jill Bartolotta, extension educator for Ohio Sea Grant.
