SureShade Introduces “Silent Glide” Shades

SureShade introduced one of its latest products this month at the 2018 Miami International Boat Show: The SureShade ATF-SG “Silent Glide” boat shade. Both Boston Whaler and Grade-White unveiled new models featuring factory-installed new SureShade Silent Glide Shades.

The new ATF-SG produces 85 percent less noise than the current ATF electric shade. Instead of 85 to 90 decibels, the Silent Glide only puts out 58 to 60 decibels. SureShade representatives say that while in action the SureShade ATF-SG is almost unnoticeable to the human ear.

“Our new AFT-SG Silent Glide Shade was developed based on client feedback for a quieter electric shade system and represents our continued focus on raising the bar,” says Ron Russikoff, product inventor and operations leader in a press release. “We’ve experienced enormous market demand for ATF-SG since the IBEX debut, and the quick turnaround with factory installations of these first units – that were specifically requested by our long-standing clients Boston Whaler and Grady-White for new model debuts – demonstrates both the ease of implementation and product demand.”

Other than the noise reduction, the new SureShade model is exactly the same as previous models, meaning boaters won’t have to account for different sizes or fits during installation. The ATF-SG is available now for order.
