Eastbay, the brand that pioneered the production Down East market with the introduction of the Eastbay 38 in 1993 at the Miami International Boat Show, is back with its largest, most luxurious and best-performing model to date. The Eastbay 60 returns to its roots, with a nod towards modern luxury and best-in-class design and performance, which starts with the V-Warp Hull design to maximize strength and performance.
“We spent a lot of hours discussing what would it take to create the most advanced, most luxurious, Eastbay available,” says Mark Richards, CEO of GB Marine Group. “Looking back, employing our hull platform, which focuses on efficiency, maximum comfort, and a soft ride now seems like a no-brainer.”
Built by the GB Marine Group, the new EB60 offers a stunning design to match its ability. A handcrafted interior features warm satin-finished teak. The spacious Upper Galley layout blends the large cockpit with a luxuriously finished salon.
Below deck, three staterooms and two heads exude equal elegance and comfort, with an inviting lower galley arrangement featuring distinct dining and lounge areas.
“I have a tremendous amount of respect for the Eastbay heritage and pedigree,” Richards says. “So to introduce anything less than revolutionary to this market was simply not an option. This brand has always attracted serious yachtsmen and I’m confident they won’t be disappointed when they sea-trial the EB60.”
The EB60 delivers a cruising speed of 27 knots when outfitted with the optional 900-hp Volvo Penta IPS 1200s, with the option to upgrade to 1,000-hp Volvo Penta IPS 1250s.
The EB60 debuted at the Newport International Boat Show in September.
