The Moorings, an international luxury yacht charter company, is no stranger to the Leukemia Cup Regatta — the company has been a sponsor for more than a decade. This year, however, The Moorings is taking a larger role in the Regatta as the official national sponsor.
“The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a cause that will always be near and dear to our hearts,” says Josie Tucci, vice president of sales and marketing for The Moorings. “We are thrilled to become a national sponsor of this philanthropic event, and continue our support of this worthy organization.”
The Leukemia Cup Regatta is a series of more than 45 races throughout the country that raise money for leukemia, lymphoma and blood cancer research. Total, the racing competition has raised more than $62 million for cancer research.
As the national sponsor, The Moorings will also give guests on their charter trips the opportunity to make an additional monetary donation to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Boaters who participate in the Leukemia Cup Regatta in select locations will also be eligible to win a number of prizes, such as a week-long yacht charter in the British Virgin Islands.
