Event organizers hope to raise awareness of the threats posed by Line 5 and mobilize individuals to take action to decommission the pipeline.
The seeds of Oil & Water Don’t Mix were sown in the fall of 2012 when the National Wildlife Federation published a report called “Sunken Hazard: Aging oil pipelines beneath the Straits of Mackinac an ever-present threat to the Great Lakes.”
