Three Winners Will Prove They Can Live in a Lake Michigan Lighthouse Next Year!

By October 18, 2019January 2nd, 2020No Comments

The White Shoal Light Historical Preservation Society held drawings for three week-long Isolation Challenges on October 19, picking from applications submitted before October 15.
Some rules for those selected include signing a waiver acknowledging the requirements — like completing the daily tasks at the lighthouse, climbing the 20-foot verticle ladder from the boat to the lighthouse, a $500 transportation fee, another $500 transportation fee should you need to leave before your week is up, and the possibility of being in the lighthouse longer than a week weather permitting.

Those picked have three challenge dates to choose from: September 7-13, 2020; September 13-19, 2020; and September 19-25, 2020.

Applicants either needed to be a member of the White Shoal Light House Preservation Society or make a donation of $25 for an individual or $50 for a couple. To learn more about the challenge, visit preservewhiteshoal.org/2020-isolation-challenges.
