The largest in-water boat and marine show featuring more U.S. and world debuts than any other boat show in the country is back for its 62nd year. Owned by the Marine Industries Association of South Florida (MIASF) and produced by Informa Markets, this year’s show will be held at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center in Fort Lauderdale, with a host of new boat debuts and marine exhibits to keep attendees busy all five days, from October 27 – 31.
“We are excited to welcome back the global community of visitors and exhibitors to the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show,” says Andrew Doole, president of U.S. Boat Shows with Informa Markets. “In 2020, Informa was able to host an incredibly successful event that exceeded industry expectations despite the pandemic, and we anticipate that the 2021 boat show will raise the bar even higher for boating exhibitions.”
With demand for boating products and accessories at an all time high, FLIBS promises to be an exciting event that will help connect attendees with some of the best new products on the market, while serving as an economic driver to the Fort Lauderdale and Florida area.
“The marine industry has been fortunate to experience unprecedented success over the last year. South Florida is honored to host for the 62nd time the premier yachting exhibition that is the world’s largest in-water boat show,” adds Phil Purcell, CEO/President of the MIASF. “Area manufacturers, brokers, and marine service professionals whose businesses impact the local economy all year will be joined by their global counterparts showcasing the best products and services the industry has to offer.”
With over 80% of the show taking place outdoors, some highlights of this year’s event include the Superyacht Village, a collection of some of the world’s largest and most spectacular yachts; Windward VIP Club which offers an exclusive outdoor and indoor destination; AquaZone, featuring upfront and personal experiences with watersports and marine products; and Hook the Future, an exciting series of fishing clinics tailored to ages 4 – 16.
