“Tip of the Mitt” Wine Region Hosts Harvest Weekends

By October 17, 2017No Comments

The 10 wineries that make up the Bay View Wine Trail are inviting wine and fall enthusiasts to come check out the season’s harvest over two weekends via the Bay View Wine Trail Harvest Cruise. The tours will take place November 10-12 and 18-19.

Each attendee will be given a “Cruise Ticket” that can be punched at each winery. Completed tickets will be entered for a chance to win a $100 or $50 winery gift card. Wine cruisers will find different wines paired with small plates at each winery. Participating wineries include: Crooked Vine, Harbor Springs Winery at Pond Hill Farm, Mackinaw Trail Winery, Maple Moon Sugarbush and Winery, Petoskey Farms Vineyard & Winery, Resort Pike Cidery, Royal Farms, Rudbeckia Farm and Winery, Seasons of the North, and Walloon Lake Winery.

The Bay View Wine Trail is part of the larger Tip of the Mitt American Viticultural Area (AVA). The Tip of the Mitt AVA is the newest (and furthest north) federally-recognized AVAs in Michigan.

Cruise tickets cost $30 and can be purchased at participating wineries or BayViewWineTrail.com.
