Boaters in Michigan’s “Mitten Tip” now have access to TowBoatUS’s 24-hour on-water assistance for things like dead batteries, low fuel, groundings and, of course, tows, thanks to a new Mackinaw City location.
It’s the 12th TowBoatUS location Richard Lenardson has opened since 2006, and the 43rd TowBoatUS Great Lakes location. Conveniently located near Mackinac Island and St. Ignace, the location sits at Straits State Harbor.
A BoatUS membership is only $85 a year, which is more than $650 less than what one tow costs. But peace of mind while out on the water isn’t the only thing included in the membership; get benefits, a BoatUS Magazine subscription and a DSC-VHF radio registration. Those who have insurance through BoatUS have the option to add unlimited towing to their policy for only $36.
