Brewers’ Marine Supply and Western Marine Company out of Canada are the newest addition now offering Sirius Signal’s Transport Canada-approved C-1002 electronic distress light. The light legally replaces the need to carry marine flares onboard, and is the first and only two-color distress light approved for carriage.

“We are pleased to welcome these new distributors to the Sirius Signal family,” says  Steven Caldero, vice president of sales. “With them now carrying our flagship eVSDS, more Canadian boaters have access to the benefits of its Bluetooth-enabled technology, which uses a two-color plus infrared SOS flash pattern that has been found to be more effective against shoreline background light clutter.”

In addition to serving as a distress signal, the C-1002 includes features that enhance its functionality to the level of an alert and notification system. The C-1002 is available at both Brewers’ and Western Marine in Canada, as well as online at the Sirius Signal website and Amazon.com.
