The U.S. Coast Guard has invested in FLIR Maritime, awarding the company with a $50 million contract to provide integrated navigation electronic systems on more than 2,000 USCG vessels, ranging from small-class boats to large cutter-class vessels.
The systems include Raymarine multi-function navigation displays, radars, sonars, remote instrument displays and autopilots. All of these components will be integrated with the Raymarine Lighthouse operating system for simple operation and single-point upgrade ability, and will include advanced features specifically developed for the U.S. Coast Guard.
