Viking’s new 64 Convertible made her world premiere at the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October, proving that Viking is still an industry leader when it comes to fresh models that offer best-in-class design and functionality. And the 64 delivers, boasting four staterooms and three heads aboard a sportfish yacht that is destined to become a superstar on the tournament circuit. Powered by twin MAN V12 1550 CKM diesels standard, the 64 offers multiple upgrade options.
In the past 20 years, Viking has released eight different models and delivered 550 yachts. “It’s a staggering amount of boats,” says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “And the team that designed and engineered all of those Vikings is the same team that designed and engineered our new 64. We’re very proud of that.”
Along with the introduction of the 64, Viking has announced its new 90 will make its world premiere at the 2023 Miami Yacht Show. The epitome of a luxury convertible sportfisher, the 90 blends design traits of the 92, 80 and other modern Viking models.
“We’ve taken all the incredible qualities of the 92 — the interior layout, the accommodations, the style, the amenities — and merged them with greater performance, technology and versatility,” Healey says. “The 92 was the Bentley. This is the Ferrari.”
The Viking 90 will be available in three models: Open Bridge, Enclosed Bridge and Sky Bridge, with all offering six staterooms including a full-beam owner’s suite. There will be an option to outfit the Open and Enclosed Bridge models with a tuna tower from Palm Beach Towers, and all three models can be equipped with a custom entertainment, electronics and communications package from Atlantic Marine Electronics.
“We designed the 90 to be as sleek as possible, stressing a low profile and clean lines,” says Viking Design Manager David Wilson. “We also brought several refinements to the exterior that enhance that lean, sexy look.”
