Viking Yachts has long been a leader in the mid-size convertible yacht segment, and its brand new Viking 54 — planned to make its world premiere at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show October 28 to November 1 — promises to deliver all of the performance, comfort and style you’ve come to expect from Viking.
“No one has done a better job in this segment of the market,” says Viking President and CEO Pat Healey. “Over the last 20 years, we’ve designed more boats from 50 to 60 feet than any other manufacturer in the industry. This is absolutely our sweet spot.”
The striking new 54 boasts three staterooms and two heads, with an open bridge layout. It pulls from Viking’s signature design traits, integrating innovative featires inspired by sales and owner feedback, and thousands of hours of research and testing.
“We’re in a constant state of refinement,” says Viking Design Manager David Wilson. “Everything from interior and exterior design and accommodations to performance, fishability and ease of operation are evolving.”
The hull has been optimized for maximum performance using Computational Fluid Dynamic software. The 154-square-foot cockpit is designed for fishing with a walk-through transom door and lift gate, rounded cockpit coamings and toekick, and multiple insulated fishboxes.
The flybridge features a streamlined, walk-around center console and touchscreen electronics displays, while the port and starboard lounges and impressive interior space with dinette, cocktail table, lounge and galley make entertaining easy.
