Join thousands of people around the world in keeping your local coastlines clean. On September 16, volunteers from around the Great Lakes region will be joining together for the September Adopt-a-Beach event, a region-wide day of action where volunteers will clean up a beach near them.
Participating is simple, so volunteers don’t have to stress about logistics. Organizers advise going to greatlakesadopt.org to find a cleanup that’s happening near you and register to attend. If there’s nothing nearby, you can host your own cleanup, too.
The Great Lakes September Adopt-a-Beach event is part of the larger International Coastal Cleanup, meaning volunteers will be beautifying beaches around the world at the same time.
